The world’s only giant bamboo kelp forest is found in the Southern tip of Africa, dominating the shores of Cape town and extending north all the way to Namibia. These kelp forests are an immense submerged habitat, home to rich biodiversity and endemic marine life that live among the high canopy. Unlike many other kelp forests in the world, this African underwater world is thriving and is even believed to be growing.
